Aurora

I have just found the most amazing pictures of the Northern Lights.
A Spectacular Evening !Auroral Storm, Tok, AlaskaMusic of the Spheres
I think a long time ago I decided that I needed to see the Northern Lights for myself when I saw Balto.
I mean I had to, I have the same name as the girl dog.

But I am putting it into an official proclomation now.

I will see the Northern Lights before I die.

I'm serious, DO NOT let me die before I have seen them. They are too beautiful to live without.

I wonder how the photographer captured those pictures. So stunning.

How wonderful!
I saw them faintly once. I was at the top of a mountain and the night was dark and the sky was cloudless and full of millions of stars. And in the distance my best friend and I could see the faint green glow of the Lights. It wasn't much, but it was enough to send us in a frenzy of happiness.
I live in Canada, but not enough north to be something you see often.
Nothing like those pictures anyway.
I really hope that you will see them one day.
(also Balto is awesome...)

take care, love
MJ

i live in Michigan and i remember an early winter night several years back, my dad pulled us all outside, wrapped in quilts to the back field. we sat on the hay-wagon and watched the northern lights. they weren't SUPER strong but they were enough to take your breath away. a definite MUST to see on your life list.
